I began my career in rehab services almost 20 years ago at Life Skills Foundation, moving on to Missouri Job Corps and finally finding a home and family at St. Louis Arc. My business background and education as a journalist prepared me well for the rigors of this field. Those skills have allowed me to be an effective relationship builder, advocate and report writer.
As Assistant Director of Employment Services at St. Louis Arc, I have had the opportunity to see our team grow from 15 to our current roster of 31 highly skilled and dedicated staff. We have doubled the number of people we support in Job Retention and our new hires have grown from 21 in 2011 to 92 in 2016 and we strive for an average of 91 new jobs per year since.
My time at the Arc has also provided me the opportunity to serve as a member of the MRA Eastern Chapter. I have enjoyed my time with MRA and value the relationships I’ve made. I hope to continue serving the MRA’s mission as well as serving those we support.
